Spring At Last

April 22, 2015
Hello All !
Well it's finally here...SPRING !  A time for warmer days, muddy fields, and pony training !
This year, not only will we be continuing Mop Top and Tripper's under saddle training, we will be starting Royal, Rhett, and Jester on ground work and hopefully under saddle.
Want your own spring equine fun ? Check out our "Our Horses" to see the horses we've got for sale.

Here are a couple of muddy, happy ponies ! The pinto on the left, Sky, is our filly from last December. The black colt, Major, is our latest addition to the bunch from this past summer. Rhett is the chestnut pinto on the right (available for sale), and he turns 3 this year!    :)

Recently, Chincoteagues in Canada made a trip down to Chincoteague VA, and attended the annual Fall Round Up. We are excited to welcome Chincoteague's Canadian Blue Sky to the herd ! She will arrive on the farm in December, as she is still too young to leave her mother . Some MORE great news, we are now the proud owner's of JKS Canadian Lady, our buyback filly ! She will live the rest of her life on Assateague Island as part of the wild herd.

Pony Penning 2013

August 1, 2013

It's the most wonderful time of the year...JULY !  And that means Pony Penning on Chincoteague Island.
The ponies walked along the beach, swam the channel, paraded the streets and made it to the auction ring.  It just so happens that Jerry placed the winning bid on foal number 7.
Welcome, Shaman's Era

The Story of Bella and Storm

April 29, 2013
This past January we agreed to take back Bella and Storm, our coming 3 year olds we sold last spring. Their new home did not work out as the owners situation changed. We are very grateful that she called us and we were able to take the two of them back and keep them safe in such uncertain times for horses right now.
We are now thrilled over the moon to announce that with the help of The Feather Fund, these two wonderful ponies have found a new home with four amazing children to love them on the family farm in Virginia !
Bella and Storm made the trip down to Day Spring Farm mid April, and are enjoying life on the farm !

Snow Ponies !

February 11, 2013
Hello all !
Since their return to New Beginnings, Bella and Storm have been doing great. They are both happy and healthy, and enjoying "horsing around" with their herd mates ! Here are a couple photos of the ponies enjoying the snow.

The Story of Bella and Storm

January 13, 2013
We brought Bella and Storm home in the fall of 2010, they were both foaled after pony penning week and were made available to us in October of that year.  They made the trip to north, via our dear friend Kim, in Massachusetts and ended up in Canada in November of that year.
They grew strong and confident and in June of 2012 we decided to sell them to an interested lady who contacted us and wanted to keep them together and have her young children grow up with them.  This lady had some plans that did not turn out for her and soon found herself with two young horses requiring much more time than she could manage.  Thankfully we had remained in touch and when she decided she could no longer keep them she contacted us.
Bella and Storm made the over 7 hour journey back home this weekend and are in the field playing with their old friends and two new ones !
Storm has sustained an injury to his face and will be looked at by a vet this week, Bella is fine and both are happy and settled in their new "wing" of the barn.
We will post updates on their status as we go and let you all know what our decisions for them will be.

Thank you to our dear friends who have gone through this journey with us, we are so grateful.
